As a graphic designer my passion is to see your business grow.

I love connecting with my clients. Taking the time to learn about their business and using my skills to produce designs to make them shine.

Graphic Designer Profile.

Graphic Designer Profile.

My graphic designer experience started in the printing industry. Since leaving school in 1988, I began working for an in-house print department for an Insurance Company based in the UK, working on typesetters before the MACs were even introduced! I attended London Print College (as it was called at the time) and took a Typography course. Gradually the department was updated and moved to the Apple MAC in the early 90’s, progressing through the years there on updated machinery. The first page layout creation software I used was QuarkXPress and illustrations back then were done in Macromedia FreeHand!

After working there for 10 years, I progressed to a larger printing company in 1999 originally called East Sussex Press. They expanded and rebranded as Pureprint and are based in East Sussex in the UK. They have won a vast amount of awards over the years. Prior to leaving there I was the Manager of the printing department. I also provided training for the employees on many different graphic software applications.

I then emigrated to Australia in 2006, working with a print company in Kent Town, Adelaide before starting up my own graphic design business in 2011.

Since then, I have progressed from not only providing graphic design and print solutions. I have added website design to my journey. I have been creating websites since 2012 and I have to say I am absolutely loving it. Training with a website developer and taking additional courses you see me where I am now today.

Flutterflies Design - graphic designer - Jenny Wickham

Flutterflies Design uses the Adobe Creative Suite for all graphic work – which includes – Indesign, Illustrator and Photoshop. I also work with PowerPoint and Word. Creating files for your presentations.

You can always provide me with your own designed print ready files (PDFs) to go direct to the printing process. View our graphic design resources for advice on how to provide print ready PDFs.

When it comes to website design – I use the WordPress platform, which gives our clients the ability to be able to update text and images themselves once built.

In November 2012 I was lucky to be featured in The Advertiser – they produced an article on home based businesses and the pro’s and con’s. Back then I had my daughter at home too, so it gave me the flexibility to be a mum and start my own business.

In December 2018 I took on the volunteer role of Publicity Officer at Seacliff Recreation Centre. Having been involved with the centre for many many years – firstly with my own daughter attending the Seacliff KinderGym from the age of 6 months to building the centre website, creating all the centres signage as well as flyers, brochures, a-frames, banners – then being able to create the websites for both the Seacliff KinderGym and Seacliff Calisthenics groups – I wanted to give back to the community. I am loving the role!!

The Advertiser 2012

In 2018 and 2019 I took a couple of courses in SEO and Facebook and Instagram advertising with Scout Digital Marketing and Training.

I am always looking to develop my services and to provide my clients with the best options for their business. You don’t want a website built that can’t be found in a search engine such as Google. It needs great content including keywords and meta descriptions. If this isn’t done it would be like having a car sign written and keeping it in the garage!

Graphic Design project process.

  • Project brief – this can be done via email, phone or a catchup over coffee. If you already have a brief, I will work closely with you to achieve your ideas. If not, then that is ok, we can work together to bring your thoughts alive!

  • We will work together on the purpose of your particular project, your schedules and budget.

  • Concept proof – I will put together a design after research and with your feedback along the way. Provide you with a proof and adjust as required.

  • Approval of the design is followed by choices on paper stock and a printed mockup proof, for the projects that go to print. Otherwise the digital file is provided.
